·         Year 8- ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ (Shakespeare) and Viewpoint Writing

·         KS3 Generic – Research set author and era. Read for pleasure and keep up-to-date with current affairs. Use bbc bitesize.

GCSE

·         Year 9 – ‘Of Mice and Men’ – Viewpoint Writing, Analyse Structure and Non- Fiction extracts

·         Year 10- ‘An Inspector Calls’ – Descriptive, Narrative and Evaluative Writing

·         Year 11-‘Love and Relationships’ poetry  anthology (15 poems) and Unseen poetry. Viewpoint Writing.

·         KS4 generic – wide reading, current affairs, relevant GCSE revision websites including bbc bitesize and mr bruff.

KS3 & GCSE

Please note that there are lots of free texts, audio and videos online for research and revision for all the texts.

KS5

Students are emailed after each lesson to set and receive work electronically. AQA English Literature Specification B. Students should read and revise the texts and research the author and era.Revision websites:- Enotes, sparknotes and cliffnotes will all help.

Yr 12 – ‘Othello’ and ‘The Great Gatsby’ – Tragedy

Yr 13 – ‘The Kite Runner’ and ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ – Marxism and Feminism

Again, free texts, audio and video versions are available to view online.
