Last year, Holly Lodge were proud to become the first school in Liverpool to work with The Girls’ Network, an award-winning organisation that aims to inspire and empower young women by connecting them to female mentor for a year and to a network of professional women for life.

The 13 students who worked with The Girls’ Network last year all greatly enjoyed the experience of working with their mentors during the year and emerged more confident, accomplished and aspirational at the end of the programme.

We are working with The Girls’ Network again this year with 15 students who have undergone a competitive application process to earn their places on the programme which will start shortly. However, we were so impressed by the applications overall and the potential and enthusiasm of the students involved that we have worked with The Girls’ Network to widen their offer with a new scheme for another 15 students. This will include group workshops and other activities both in school and in prestigious locations in the city centre. We will also work with The Girls’ Network to organise a networking event for girls in year 11, so that they meet and talk to women from a huge range of sectors about their career paths, while developing their networking skills in the process

We are thrilled to be able to offer our students the opportunity of working with The Girls’ Network again, and for them  to be able to work with more girls is even more exciting, as this is in line with our ethos of “Expect to Achieve” with high expectations leading to high aspirations and high achievement.
