Jennifer Heffron has been voted Head Girl in the Head Girl Elections which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday in the week before half term. There were two candidates this year – Jennifer and Olivia Barkley-Quinn, both in Year 12. Both candidates took part in a sequence of assemblies in the run up to the election so that the rest of the students could decide who to vote for. Voting took place in our purpose built polling booths and was overseen by Sixth Form students and Ms Hitchings. The result was announced with Jennifer as the Head Girl with 62% of the vote and Olivia as our Deputy Head Girl. Their conduct before, during and after the election was an example to politicians everywhere and our students took their democratic responsibility very seriously. Next up……elections to the Student Council.
